June 2004: The Butterfly Foundation
The Butterfly Foundation provides financial assistance for the direct relief of sufferers of eating disorders and for the prevention of disease by supporting education and early intervention programs.
Butterfly is driving significant positive change in the way eating disorders are treated and considered in Australia by health service providers and the wider community. It is working hard with the public health system, consumers and the government to improve access to early intervention and ongoing support for all sufferers and carers.
Eating disorders are not lifestyle choices but are serious mental, medical & social illnesses - sufferers can and do recover but like the Butterfly trapped in darkness in the cocoon they need to be nurtured until they are able to fly free.
If you know some one suffering from this debilitating disease give them a hug, tell them you love them and urge them to seek professional treatment - the journey’s best shared.

Cystic Fibrosis Australia is a National organization comprising Member State and Territory associations.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited recessive genetic condition, which mainly affects the lungs, digestive system and the sweat glands. It is the most common life-threatening recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children and at this point there is no cure. So we need money for research to improve the lives of children with Cystic Fibrosis. There is one baby born every 4 days with Cystic Fibrosis.
